PROGRAM REPORT

           One day workshop on ‘Use of MS-EXCEL for Statistical Analysis’ was organized by Department of Statistics, Doodhsakhar Mahavidyalaya, Bidri under the lead college cluster of Sadashivrao Mandlik, Mahavidyalaya, Murgud sponsored by Lead college scheme of Shivaji University, Kolhapur on Saturday 18/03/2023. Near about 102 participants are participated in this workshop.

          The inaugural function is conducted at 10.15am in the presence of Chief guest Dr. Shivajirao Hodge of S. M. Mandlik Mahavidyalaya, Murgud. Prin Dr. Sanjay Patil presided over the function. The importance of topic of workshop is deliberated by all speakers and appealed the participants to take advantage of this workshop.

          In the first session Prof. Krushnath Mali sir of Shahaji College, Kolhapur explained the basics of MS-Excel. In his talk he has explained excel spreadsheet, data entry in spreadsheet, data formatting, formula calculations, built in function, data sorting and manipulation, graphic techniques and much more.

          In second session Prof. S. V. Rajguru of Dept. of Statistics, S. U. Kolhapur talk on advanced techniques of MS-Excel. In his talk he has explained techniques of data analysis using Excel. He has explained concept of Hypothesis testing and other technical calculations.

          In third session, both the resource persons along with our computer staff, Mr. Sunil Mithari sir, Mr. Sachin Patil sir and Mr. Amit Patil sir give practical training in computer laboratory. In valedictory function Prof. R. B. Chopade, NAAC co-ordinator and Prof. Y. S. Patil expressed great satisfaction on the outcome of the workshop

          We are thankful to our lead college, S. M. M. Murgud for sanctioning this workshop to us under lead college scheme of S. U. Kolhapur. Many peoples have helped us directly or indirectly during this workshop. We are thankful to all of them.
